About
I'm glad you found your way here.
My name is Alex, and I'm the creator of Soulbased. What you'll find here is really a reflection of my own evolution, one that's still going on as you read this.
-
Everything here was lived before it was shared. It comes from my own journey, and from the study that came with it. Hermetic texts, philosophers, quantum physics, books that pulled the ground out from under me. Always circling the same question: what is this, and who am I inside it? None of it stays theory for long. I take it into my body and live with it until I know whether it holds.
-
I came to Sweden from the Philippines when I was barely one year old. I had leukemia as a child, and like a lot of stories you've heard, my mother left everything she knew to give me a better shot at surviving.
-
I'm still here. And I feel strongly that Soulbased was meant to be created, as part of why I'm here at all.
-
Like you, I've been through hardships. I've cried and fought my way through lonely nights. I've felt alone in crowded rooms. For a long time I didn't even realise I'd had a traumatic childhood, growing up with a dysregulated mother who gave up her whole world to save my life.
-
A beautiful paradox.
-
Soulbased holds a lot of what I've learned since. How I worked my way out of being an unconscious people pleaser. How I carried the weight of hustle culture and other people's expectations. Losing everything material, selling what I owned, and learning what it does to you when the world decides what that makes you, and what stays true underneath it. Years of physical struggle with my skin, and what that taught me about the body. And how I moved from traditional personal development into something much wider, where reality itself came apart and had to be put back together.
-
It all connects. But my focus isn't to send you chasing theories, or to have you attach yourself to anything outside of you.
-
Soulbased brings your attention and awareness back to yourself. That work can get uncomfortable. It takes courage and accountability.
-
I'm not here to tell you how to live. I'm here to remind you that you get to choose.
Alex
